Biography
Ordained in 2005 for the Lansing Diocese, Fr. Gordon Reigle was first assigned to St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Saline, MI. Now he serves Lansing Catholic High School as chaplain and provides weekend sacramental ministry for youth retreats at the Bethany House Retreat Center in DeWitt.
History
Fr. Gordon grew up in Jackson and went through the Catholic schools there beginning with elementary education at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Parish. After graduating from Lumen Christi, he attended Western Michigan University and received a degree in Industrial Engineering. He found employment in Lansing for six years as a computer programmer before entering seminary at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake / Mundelein Seminary in Illinois. Ordained to the priesthood for the Lansing Diocese in 2005, Fr. Gordon was assigned to Saline as a parochial vicar at St. Andrew Parish for four happy years and then was transferred to Lansing to serve as chaplain of Lansing Catholic High School in the summer of 2009. Now an uncle, Fr. Gordon enjoys visiting his family members in Jackson as well as playing music in his spare time.
