Grades:
- There will be a test at the end of each chapter. If it is a long chapter, then we will also have a test half way through the chapter.
- You can retake any test for up to 65%, but it must be made up within a week of the date of the original test.
- Homework will be collected regularly.
- All work must be shown for full credit and done in pencil.
- Grades will be figured on the total points earned divided by the total points possible. Points are earned on tests and homework.
Suggestions for being successful:
- Attend class - be on time for class and try to avoid scheduling appointments during school hours.
- Ask questions often and participate in class.
- Do the homework carefully. It is great to work on assignments with someone; however, there is a difference between working together and cheating.
- Be organized. Keep a folder for handouts and homework. Bring it to class every day. Don't let your book be your folder.
Expectations - You are expected to:
- Come prepared for class every day
- Participate in class every day
- Do the homework which is assigned
- Work together cooperatively
- Expect some difficulty
- Follow school policies
- Attendance - both physical and mental
- Respect each other and yourself
I will:
- Come prepared to teach every day
- Help students learn the concepts of Trigonometry
- Be available outside of class for questions
- Have study sessions before tests
Policies:
- You will be marked tardy if you are not in your seat when the bell rings.
- Late assignments are accepted only in cases of illness, not for field trips or athletic events.
- Your behavior should reflect that you are here to learn and not to disturb or keep others from learning.
