Lansing Catholic kicks off its 2022-23 performance season with the curtains rising on its fall play, Harvey.

This 1940s play, produced by the playwright Mary Chase, follows the journey of Elwood P. Dowd, who maintains a friendship with a 6’3 invisible rabbit. Elwood introduces his “companion” to everyone he meets, which causes his sister Veta and his niece Myrtle to be thoroughly embarrassed by him. In order to end the madness, Veta attempts to have Elwood committed to a sanitarium where a series of comedic events unwind.

The cast consists of:

Junior Paul Watson as Elwood P. Dowd
Senior Annabel Ludwig as the sister of Elwood, Veta Louise Simmons
Senior Emma Hansen as the daughter of Veta, Myrtle Mae Simmons
Junior Jackson Jobe as the love interest of Myrtle, Duane Wilson.

While 14 students who make up the cast, many more students have been work hard on sets and with our state-of-the-art light and sound boards to bring these performances to life. 

Harvey opens this Friday, November 4th at 7 pm with performances on Saturday, November 5th (1 & 7 pm), Friday, Novemebr 11th (7 pm), and Saturday, November 12th (1 & 7 pm).
