The purpose of having a standardized student planner is to teach students discipline for accountability and to provide students with multiple resources for student success. The planner would be customized to LCHS and include such resources as bell schedules, school calendar, grade tracking forms, spiritual themes & quarterly prayers, mission statement/motto, monthly reflections/affirmations/goals, QR codes for relevant information (athletics, student handbook, Khan Academy, uniform code/pictures), Chromebook shortcuts, student login information, useful websites, service hours information, teacher contact information, helpful websites, Naviance guidance, counseling resources, study skills, etc...
The planner would be used in all classes for tracking homework, practicing time management, and enhancing executive function skills for the entire student body by teaching and reinforcing mental processes that enable students to plan, focus attention, remember instructions, and juggle multiple tasks successfully.
