A complete, official uniform must be worn every day unless otherwise prescribed by the administration. All clothing worn to school-sponsored functions must be neat, clean, and modest. 

  • Uniforms enable students to direct their creativity and individuality to their classes, extracurricular activities, and to the school environment as a whole.
  • By wearing uniforms, socio-economic or political indicators associated with clothing are removed.
  • Studies show school uniforms have a positive impact on students’ mental health.
  • Uniforms help maintain a safe and effective learning environment.

With the closure of the MyAplus store, we are introducing a new online uniform store, SquadLocker, where all approved uniform items will be available for purchase online moving forward for the 25-26 school year and beyond.

Spirit Wear Fridays

On Fridays, students may wear spirit wear tops that feature the LCHS logo and/or name including House shirts. Uniform bottoms must still be worn and hats are not allowed. Spirit wear or uniform shirts must be worn under all spirit wear 1⁄4 zips, sweatshirts, or sweaters.

Uniform Policy Update for 25-26

Normal School Day Uniform Guidelines

Students must wear a combination of the following approved items: 

  • Pants (required) - Any solid black pants that meet our current casual dress guidelines (no shorts, ripped/torn pants, pajama bottoms, nor form fitting pants e.g. leggings, skinny jeans, yoga pants, etc.). These do not need to be purchased through the uniform store, but an option that meets these guidelines is available within the new uniform store.
  • Polo Shirts (required) - Long or short sleeve in Cougar blue (light), white, or navy blue (dark), with an approved embroidered Lansing Catholic uniform logo (shown below). Essentially all current uniform polo shirts are acceptable. Moving forward only Cougar blue (light) polos will be available in the new uniform store
  • Undershirts (optional) - White or black t-shirts or long-sleeve performance shirts may be worn under the polo. Undershirts must be shorter than the uniform polo.
  • 1/4-Zip Pullovers or full-zip uniform jacket (optional) - Must be worn over the uniform polo. Solid black (poly/lycra or cotton) with an approved embroidered Lansing Catholic uniform logo. Currently, the only approved full zip option available is the one offered in the new uniform store. Hooded sweatshirts are only allowed on Spirit Wear Fridays, not on normal dress days.
  • Sweaters/Sweatshirts (optional) - Black v-neck cardigans, pullover crew neck cardigans, or crew neck sweatshirts with an approved embroidered Lansing Catholic uniform logo. Must also be worn over the uniform polo. Hooded sweatshirts are only allowed on Spirit Wear Fridays, not on normal dress days.
  • Black Skirt with Leggings (optional) - Females may wear any black skirt that falls clearly below the fingertips and approximately halfway between the fingertips and the top of the knee and  is worn with solid black, opaque, plain leggings or tights (ankle length)
  • Gray Skort (optional - starting Sept. 15, 2025) - Females may wear the Lands' End Blend Chino Skort, in Arctic Gray only (available here) where the skort falls clearly below the fingertips and approximately halfway between the fingertips and the top of the knee with no leggings required
  • Plaid Skirt with Leggings (optional - starting Jan. 5, 2026) - Females may wear the Flynn O'Hara Pleated Skirt with Elastic Waist (available here) a plaid skirt that falls clearly below the fingertips and approximately halfway between the fingertips and the top of the knee and  is worn with solid black, opaque, plain leggings or tights (ankle length)

Assessories & Footwear 

  • Students may wear accessories and jewelry of their choice with the following exceptions: gang paraphernalia, wallet chains, overly large or otherwise distracting, large purses or backpacks should be stowed in lockers, not brought to classes
  • All footwear must be closed-toe and offer adequate protection to ensure safety. 
  • In order to protect the floor in the gymnasium, shoes used for athletic or extracurricular activities in the gym must not be worn for any other purpose. Socks and hosiery are not required.
